Frequently asked questions

Planning your day

What does a wedding at The Farm cost?

Weekend weddings (Friday through Sunday) start at $5,200, and Monday through Thursday weddings start at $3,500. Ask Jenna about off-season dates, private celebrations, and corporate gatherings.

What is included in the rental?

The barn and Silo Bar, the bridal and groom suites, reception tables, chairs and cocktail tables, kitchen access for your licensed caterer, four restrooms, outdoor seating and silo swings, free on-site parking, Wi-Fi, and a reachable venue representative during your event.

Are linens and place settings included?

No. Tables, chairs and cocktail tables are included. Linens, napkins and place settings come from your caterer or a rental company rather than from us, and we are glad to point you to the ones our couples use.

How many guests can the barn accommodate?

The barn’s capacity is 130. Contact us to talk through your guest count and the layout that works for your event.

Do we need a wedding planner or coordinator?

Yes. Every event at the Farm requires a professional event planner or day-of coordinator chosen from our preferred vendor list. They keep your day running smoothly and are your point of contact with the venue. The preferred vendor list is shared once your contract is signed and your deposit is received.

Can we choose our own caterer?

The attached kitchen is available for your licensed caterer under the rental agreement. Caterers must be identified and have a contract on file with the venue at least 10 days before the event.

What should we know about bar service?

All alcohol, including beer and wine as well as liquor, must be served by an insured, licensed bartender. Self-serve beer and wine are not permitted. Alcohol may be served only in designated areas, and service ends 45 minutes before the event ends.

What time do events end?

Events end and guests must leave by 10:00 p.m. Setup and cleanup are part of the agreed rental period. Music, bar service, and vendor timing have additional requirements, so please confirm your full timeline with the venue before booking vendors.

Is the guest house included with a wedding rental?

No. The on-site guest house and the wedding venue are separate rentals; reserving one does not reserve the other.

What about wheelchair access?

We have welcomed many guests who use wheelchairs. As a farm venue, surfaces and access vary across the property. Please contact Jenna before your visit or event so we can discuss your guests’ needs and provide current information about parking, entrances, pathways, and restrooms.

Where can out-of-town guests stay, and how far is the airport?

We’re 12 minutes from Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO) and two miles from Grandover Resort, with plenty of hotels along the I-85/I-40 corridor. Our on-site guest house is also available for the wedding party.

How do we tour the venue and confirm a date?

Tours are by appointment, Sunday through Thursday — on Fridays and Saturdays we usually have a wedding on the property. Request a tour with your event plans and preferred times to visit, then contact Jenna to check availability and discuss next steps. A tour request does not reserve an event date.

What happens if it rains?

The wedding moves inside the barn. That is the rain plan for every event here, and the barn with its glass-enclosed reception space holds your full guest count of up to 130. If you would like extra covered space for overflow, you are welcome to bring in a tent from a local rental company at your own cost.

How do we reserve our date, and when is the balance due?

A 50% deposit with a signed contract reserves your date. The balance is due at least 30 days before the event.

What happens if we have to cancel?

The deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel your event, we waive the rest of the contract, so you will not owe the remaining balance.

How can we pay?

Cash, check, debit card, credit card and Venmo. If a credit card or Venmo payment carries a processing fee, that fee is passed along to you.

Tours by appointment

Come see it in person

The best way to know is to walk the grounds. Tell Jenna a little about your celebration and she’ll set up a private tour. A tour request does not reserve a date.
